Most fitness programs built for women are designed around the wrong goals. Light weights, high reps, endless cardio, and the constant pressure to be smaller, not stronger, not more capable, just smaller. If you've tried that approach and wondered why it's not working, it's not you. It's the approach.
I'm Rob Moal, a personal trainer in Vancouver with over 20 years of experience coaching women in their 30s, 40s, and 50s who are done with programs that don't deliver. Half my client base is women, and what they have in common isn't their goal, it's their frustration with being underserved by an industry that still hasn't figured out how women's bodies actually work.
I train clients in-person across Downtown Vancouver, Yaletown, Coal Harbour, the West End, Gastown, and the Beach District, and coach women online across Canada.
The program is built around your life, your schedule, and your body. Not a template. Not a trend. Something that actually works.
Everything You Need to Get Stronger and Leaner — On Your Schedule
Your program, nutrition guidance, and accountability all in one place. Whether you train in-person in Vancouver or online from anywhere in Canada, you get the same structured, progressive coaching.
Personal Training For Women Vancouver
Most women have never been given a properly structured strength program. That's the difference. I build programs around compound movements, progressive overload, and your specific goals — so you're always moving forward, not just maintaining.
Online coaching works just as well as in-person for most clients. You get a full program, check-ins, and direct access to me — delivered anywhere in Canada. Particularly useful for women with demanding schedules or who prefer to train on their own terms.
Every client I work with follows a structured program.
Your training, your progress, and your nutrition guidance are all laid out inside the app, so you’re not guessing what to do from session to session.
If you’re training on your own between sessions, traveling, or just working around a busy week, the structure stays the same. That’s what keeps results moving.
Whether you're starting again or looking to level up your training, I'll create a plan built around your schedule, your body, and the results you want.
No. Women have significantly lower testosterone than men which makes building large muscle mass very difficult. Strength training will make you leaner, stronger, and more defined — not bulky.
Do you offer both in-person and online coaching for women?
Yes. I train women in-person across Vancouver and coach online clients across Canada. Both include a fully personalised program, nutrition guidance, and weekly check-ins.
Where do you train female clients in Vancouver?
I work with clients at top facilities across Vancouver and offer mobile training for clients in building gyms across Yaletown, Coal Harbour, the West End, Gastown, and the Beach District.
I'm going through perimenopause — can you help?
Yes. I understand the physiological changes that come with perimenopause and menopause and how to program around them. Strength training is one of the most evidence-backed interventions for managing many symptoms including body composition changes and energy levels.
How many sessions per week do I need?
Three sessions per week is the sweet spot for most women. That's enough to drive consistent, meaningful results without dominating your schedule.
I have a lot of weight to lose — where do I start?
With a free assessment where we figure out exactly where you are and what the right starting point is. There's no judgment and no assumption about what you should be able to do. We start where you are.
