Gastown has gone through a real transformation over the past decade from a neighbourhood you passed through to one youactually live and work in.

I’m Rob Moal, a personal trainer with 20+ years of experience coaching people in Vancouver who work hard and want their health to reflect that. Gastown clients tend to be driven, self-aware, and frustrated they know what they want but haven’t found a
training approach that actually sticks.

What usually holds people back isn’t effort it’s structure. When your schedule isn’t predictable, you need a training program that’s flexible without being vague. I build programs that adapt to your week without losing momentum. Consistency over months beats intensity for a few weeks, and the accountability system I use with every client is designed around exactly that.

I train clients near Gastown at facilities in the downtown core, and offer mobile training for clients who prefer to work out in their building or closer to the neighbourhood. I’m also accessible for early morning and evening sessions the times that tend to work best for this part of the city.

Do you have any accreditations or certifications?

Yes, we are accredited by Can-Fit Pro, Precision Nutrition, Grey Institute, Twist Conditioning, FMS and TRX. These certifications are for personal training, nutrition, mobilty and corrective exercise.

I sit at a desk all day and my back and hips are a mess — can you help?

That’s one of the most common things I work with. Prolonged sitting creates tight hips, weak glutes, and lower back pain. I’m certified in corrective exercise and FMS addressing these issues is part of every program.
