Personal Trainer Beach District

The Beach District the stretch along English Bay from Sunset Beach toward Yaletown is one of the most active parts of Vancouver. People run the seawall, take yoga classes, spend weekends outdoors. But being active and being trained are two different things, and a lot of people in this neighbourhood have figured that out the hard way.

I’m Rob Moal, a personal trainer with over 20 years of experience working with people in Vancouver who want to go beyond casual activity and build something real, real strength, real fat loss, real change in how their body feels and performs day to day. Beach District clients are typically in their late 30s to 50s. Fit by most standards they move, they’re active but they want more. More strength, less body fat, better recovery, less pain.

I work with clients in building gyms throughout the Beach District and at top facilities in the area. For clients who want to incorporate outdoor training near the seawall or English Bay, I can work with that depending on your goals and program.

Do you offer both in-person and online personal training?

Yes. I train clients in person near the Beach District and also coach online across Canada. Both include goal-specific programming, accountability, and full support.

Where do you train clients in Vancouver?

I work with clients at facilities near the Beach District and offer mobile training depending on location. Online coaching is also available with structured programs and weekly check-ins.

Do you incorporate outdoor training near the seawall or English Bay?

For the right client, yes. Whether we use the outdoor environment depends on your goals and what your program calls for we’ll discuss it in your free assessment.

Do you have any accreditations or certifications?

Yes, we are accredited by Can-Fit Pro, Precision Nutrition, Grey Institute, Twist Conditioning, FMS and TRX. These certifications are for personal training, nutrition, mobilty and corrective exercise.

I’m already pretty active — do I actually need a personal trainer?

Being active and being trained are different things. Many Beach District clients are runners or regular gym-goers who’ve hit a plateau. A structured program with progressive overload and nutrition alignment tends to unlock results that casual activity alone can’t produce.
